Simon Blaen
Principal Consultant
Simon works as a Principal Consultant in the UK, assisting organisations in preparing for oil spill incidents. He has a broad knowledge of oil spill response considerations and specialises in the use of oil spill modelling and mapping.
Simon joined OSRL in 2011 as part of the Operations department where he gained experience responding to a wide range of spills around the globe. Simon has also undertaken secondments with OSRL member organisations, worked in OSRL’s Aberdeen office and lead OSRL’s Geomatics team.
Simon has a BSc in Physics and an MSc in Maritime Civil Engineering.
