Tristan Barston

Principal Preparedness Solutions Advisor 

Covering: North America

As a multi-disciplined Senior Consultant/Response Specialist with a strong background in organizational preparedness and contingency planning at both strategic and tactical response levels, Tristan is experienced in working on emergency response processes and contingency planning development activities in remote and challenging environments, for both offshore and onshore operations. As he spent his early life serving with the British Military in various engagements around the globe, he is well versed in doing more with less and thinking outside of the normal boundaries of what can be achieved, a message he is keen to pass on to the next generation of incident management and emergency response personnel, through virtual and face to face training, webinars, desktop or deployment drills and exercises.

When not involved in OSRL activities Tristan runs a street dog rescue based in Houston, Texas. He secretly prefers dogs to most humans!

Tuan Anjos

Brazil Services Solutions Manager 

Covering: South America

An expert in multi-tonnes equipment mobilization, Tuan has led critical projects and operations for major industry stakeholders. Key contributions include the successful relocation of assets between regions and the establishment of essential infrastructure, always ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulations and the highest standards.

With an MBA in Business Management and a degree in Logistics, Tuan excels in managing complex operational challenges while maintaining a flawless safety record.

Fluent in Portuguese and English, and with good Spanish fluency, Tuan is known for strong communication and leadership skills, driving team success and operational excellence through creative ways of overcoming obstacles.

When not facing the everyday emergency response challenges, Tuan enjoys his free time mostly with music and playing the guitar.

Derrick Lim

Principal Preparedness Solutions Advisor

Covering: Afghanistan, China, Hongkong, Pacific Islands, Pakistan, PNG, South Korea, Taiwan, Timor-Leste, Singapore.

Derrick Lim holds a Bachelor in Engineering (Material Engineering) and is currently a Preparedness Solutions Advisor based in Singapore. He joined Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) in 2011 with a background in emergency response, incident management, and contingency planning from previous employments in the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore and Changi Airport Group.   Derrick has responded to numerous oil spills from shipping, and upstream exploration and production in his ten years of service with OSRL.

Samantha Chong

Preparedness Solutions Advisor

Covering: Brunei, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Philippines, Sri Lanka.

Samantha Chong is a Preparedness Solutions Advisor for APAC where she looks after Brunei, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Philippines and Sri Lanka. Prior to her current appointment, she has worked in the Response department for over 8 years with roles varying from Senior Response Specialist to Duty Manager and Global Response Process Lead. With a strong strategic and tactical response foundation, Samantha has responded to numerous oil spill incidents within the Asia Pacific region and actively participated in various internal and external oil spill exercises. Her past working experiences have enabled her to utilise her technical knowledge and skills to identify opportunities for continuous support and guidance to clients in their preparedness requirements.

Tawirat Bates (Danny)

Danny has joined the team as a Preparedness Solutions Advisor for APAC. Having been with OSRL since 2018, he has accrued invaluable knowledge and experience in spill response and preparedness. He believes that strong partnerships, collaborations, and future development opportunities between OSRL and the industry is vital to further enhance spill preparedness across all stakeholders. Danny holds a Bachelors of Honours in Mechanical Engineering from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Yoppy Tan

Preparedness Solutions Manager - APAC

Yoppy is a familiar face in the Oil & Gas industry as an HSE professional in the Asia Pacific region.  He has delivered several technical papers as a Speaker in a wide range of energy-focused conferences. Yoppy believes in long-term partnership, and as such he has worked with most of the Lead Government Agencies and National Energy Companies in the region in developing a National Oil Spill Response Capability. Yoppy is a graduate of the Master in Strategic Marketing from Cranfield University in the UK.

Lee Barber

Preparedness Solutions Manager - EMEA

Lee is an incident and crisis management specialist with approximately twenty years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He has worked in over 35 separate countries delivering a range of projects such as managing the restructure of BHP's approach to incident and crisis management. The majority of this work has been for international oil companies giving him a solid background in international best practices for incident and crisis management.

Leina Chong-Pan

Principal Preparedness Solutions Advisor

Leina specialises in technical sales and marketing with experience both in France and the UK. She grew up in French Guiana (South America) and has lived in France and Ireland before coming to England in 2017. Leina joined OSRL in 2020 and is committed to finding the best way to support members with all of their preparedness requirements.

A ‘Citizen of the world’ Leina is fluent in French, English and Spanish.

Lucy Bly

Aberdeen Manager

Lucy leads the OSRL Aberdeen team supporting UKCS Members with incident and exercise support, delivering training and providing specialist advice. Since commencing her career with OSRL, Lucy has responded to spills both in the UKCS and internationally, such as the Deepwater Horizon incident. Lucy also participates in industry workgroups hosted by IPIECA and OEUK, developing industry good practices.

Lady Felicia Sackey

Ghana Representative

Lady Felicia Sackey joined OSRL as a Marketing Coordinator in 2018 with a background in Petroleum Engineering.

Apart from her business development roles, Lady Felicia also works closely with regulators, authorities and key stakeholders in Ghana to ensure smooth operation of the business.

Lady has built her expertise in oil spill preparedness and continues to develop her knowledge to support clients in her region.

Tim Nobes

Preparedness Solutions Advisor
 

Tim has been in the oil spill response industry since 1990, working for an oil spill response equipment design and manufacturing company, before joining OSRL in 2016.

Through his years of experience within the industry and dealing with customers across the globe, Tim offers a wealth of knowledge to members and clients alike. He is committed to providing clients with cost effective solutions for all their preparedness activities.

Tom is the regional representative for Southern Africa, helping our Members and Clients meet their requirements most efficiently. 

Before coming to OSRL, Tom had a background in commercial sales before starting his position in the Business Development Team and has now been with OSRL for three years.
