OSRL's Wildlife Week 2024

lunes, 28 de octubre de 2024

Join us from 28th October to 1st November for OSRL’s Wildlife Week, an event designed to raise awareness and promote tiered preparedness for oiled wildlife response!

Hosted by OSRL, in collaboration with Sea Alarm and the GOWRS Network, this year’s event brings together internal and external activities to foster learning, dialogue, and collaboration across the industry.

Building on the success of previous editions, Wildlife Week has become a key event for OSRL, our wildlife partners and our Members. Since its inception, the event has focused on increasing the global readiness to respond to wildlife emergencies, sharing best practices, and discussing the latest advancements in technology and strategies. Past events have highlighted the importance of collaboration among industry leaders, wildlife experts, and response teams worldwide, creating a platform where knowledge sharing can help wildlife affected by oil spills.

This year, we are thrilled to welcome experts from Sea Alarm, GOWRS and its member organisations, including Aiuká, OWCN/UC Davis, and Focus Wildlife as special guests.

How to Join

Throughout Wildlife Week, we’ll be hosting four informative webinars on Microsoft Teams, featuring key discussions on building wildlife response capacity, understanding legislation, and responding to complex offshore and nearshore wildlife incidents. There will be an option to turn on live subtitles for all webinars.

Rest assured, the timings listed in the schedule are accurate, the presenters and special guests will join us from various locations around the globe.

Please note that all sessions will be recorded, and we will provide catch-up links to everyone registered. This means you can revisit the discussions at your convenience.
