OSRL Executive Team Update

Thursday, September 30, 2021

As part of OSRL’s drive to continuously improve and move the business forward, we are pleased to announce the following role changes within our Executive Team.

With effect from the 1st October the following role changes will be implemented:

Simon Dewhirst will move from his current role as Commercial Director, where he has successfully managed the team through several commodity cycles, to take over the Supply Chain Management and Resources Director role.  This role change happens at a crucial time for OSRL as we start to move into the project and eventually the implementation phase of our “Footprint for the Future” activities.  Simon brings a wealth of experience from his leading role in the SWIS implementation and the skills and knowledge he gained will be crucial in ensuring the success of this new project

Rob James, after almost 18 years in the critical role of Regional Director, EMEA will move into the role of Commercial Director. Rob’s passion for member engagement is evident and this change will enable OSRL to continue its focus on engaging with our members as well as building the commercial services aspect of the business. Rob will continue to serve as a Director on the Board of OSRL.

Matt Clements will take over as EMEA Regional Director. Matt is currently the Supply Chain Management and Resources Director and has been instrumental in implementing the new Global Logistic organization, getting the procurement department more involved in dealing with a wider group of suppliers and starting to get the organisation to embrace the resourcing process for the wider group of personnel. This wealth of experience, plus his previous experience in SWIS and Response, will be of great benefit to the EMEA Response team.

I would like to congratulate Simon, Rob and Matt as they take on these new challenges and thank them all for the tremendous work they have done in their current roles.
