This brief overview shows what OSRL does to ensure that the Containment Toolkit is ready for use. Following sections cover storage and maintenance in more detail.
Storage
OSRL is responsible for the storage and maintenance of the Containment Toolkit.
OSRL will ensure all equipment is prepared to be mobilised in the event that a member requires to use it. Full maintenance routines have been implemented for the equipment and are carried out in accordance with industry best practice.
Mobilisation Ready
Mobilisation procedures are in place and fully exercised to ensure that the equipment is prepared to be deployed with minimal delay.
It is important that members also have contingency plans and procedures in place that are tested to ensure that the notification, mobilisation and deployment process can be carried out effectively.
Are you ready?
Do you have tested notification, mobilisation and deployment plans and procedures in place?
Components
Flowline End Termination (FLET)
Subsea hardware installed at the end of flexible flowlines to enable ROV operated functions, venting functionality and pressure control.
Size: 6.2m x 2.5m x 3m
Weight: 32 tonnes
There are two types of Subsea Flexable Flowline connectors due to the installation requirements onto the Capping stack there is additional padeyes for installation and due to the loads, the top housing reinforced.
Diverless Subsea Connectors
Standard ROV operated subsea hardware used to connect flexible flowlines to a capping stack, FLET, flow spool assembly and burst disk trees.
Size: 1.6m x 1.2m x 1.9m
Weight: 3.3 tonnes
Chemical Distribution Assembly (CDA)
Hardware for distribution of hydrate inhibitor to the FLET and/or to the capping stack.
Size: 2.5m x 2m x 2.3m
Weight: 6 tonnes
Hose End Valves (HEV)
End valves on the marine offloading hoses for safe coupling to the offloading tanker.
Size: 1.5m x 1.8m x 1.1m
Weight: 2.5 tonnes
Flow Spool with Subsea Test Tree Latch
Assembly that connect the flexible flowline to a standard well testing riser and interfaces with standard wellhead foundation and MODU BOP equipment (mobile offshore drilling unit blowout preventer).
Size: 4.3m x 3.7m x 3.8m
Weight: 43.5 tonnes
Coiled Tubing Termination head (CTTH)
Hydrate inhibitor distribution hardware suspended from the coiled tubing to de-couple the dynamic section of the coiled tubing riser from the static CDA.
Size: 1.5m x 1.1m x 1.8m
Weight: 3 tonnes
Deployment Reels for Flying Leads
The 1" and 2" flying leads are coiled on deployment reels for safe subsea installation of flying leads between the CTTH, CDA, capping stack and the FLET, for hydrate inhibitor supply to the cap or FLET(s).
Size: 6.2m x 2.4m x 2.6m
Weight: 12 tonnes
Flexible Jumpers / Flowlines
Connect pipe between the capping stack, FLET and the flow-spool assembly.
Inner diameter: 6"
Lengths: 250m, 850m, 1200m
Transfer Pumps, Incinerator Pumps and Coolers
Liquid Transfer Pump will pump stabilised crude to the offloading tanker
Incineration Pressure Pump will pump stabilised/unstabilised crude to the burner booms.
Liquid Coolers will cool the designed rate of stabilised crude to ensure that the temperature specification is met for the tankers at 110m3/hr.
Liquid Transfer Pump Package:
• Skid: 6 m L x 2.4m x 2.4m
• Weight 7.8 tonnes
Incinerator Pump Package:
• Skid: 9.1m x 2.4m x 2.4m
• Weight 12.5 tonnes
Cooler Package:
• Skid: 6m x 2.4m W x 2.438m H
• Total Weight 8600kg
Marine Offloading Hoses
The primary function of the Marine Offloading Hoses is to securely transfer fluids from the capture vessel to an off loading tanker.
Pallet dimensions: 11.7 m x 2.3m x 3.2m
Pallet Weight: 4.7 tonnes
Swivels
Subsea swivels are included within the Containment Toolkit for connection between each vertical connector and flowline/jumper.
Size: 1.07m x 1.83m x 1.37m
Weight: 1.18 tonnes
Flowline Lifting Tool
The FLT is designed to take the full load of all flexible products when used for second end laydown.
Size: 1.2m x 1.3m 0.8m
Weight: 1.8 tonnes
