The world of psychology and decision-making bid farewell to a luminary in late March as Daniel Kahneman, the Nobel laureate who revolutionised our understanding of human cognition, passed away. World Day for Safety and Health is observed every year on 28 April and aims to raise awareness about the prevention of occupational accidents and ill health globally. 

Throughout the week commencing Monday, 29 April, we commemorated this day in our bases around the world to further promote the importance of safety and health in our organisation. Find out more about our activities.

In their first twelve weeks, our new wave of responders undergo a rigorous training process, introducing them to our different methods of responding to an oil spill, the equipment used, and scenario-based exercises to test their newly learned skills.
