Kate Brown

Senior Geomatics Specialist

Kate holds a degree in Ocean Science from the University of Plymouth and a Masters in Oceanography (with Marine Biology and Ecology) from the University of Southampton.

Kate joined OSRL in 2012 where she gained valuable experience responding to spills around the globe as well as undertaking secondments to assist clients with oil spill preparedness during her time in the Operations department. She has also spent four years in OSRL’s Subsea Well Intervention Services (SWIS) department, working with large scale global equipment.

As part of her role within the Geomatics team she has delivered numerous oil spill preparedness modelling projects and is also part of the dedicated on-call response modelling team providing 2D and 3D modelling support to the operations department for international oil spill incidents.
