Academics, scientists, responders and technical specialists from the oil industry are coming together in September to share knowledge and exchange information about the latest technical developments in the world of spill response technology. A three day meeting sponsored by OSRL and co-hosted by CEDRE and Ifremer will take place in Brest, France (22nd – 24th September). The agenda includes reports from the IOGP/IPIECA Joint Industry Project on Oil Spill Response as well as outputs from technical projects into response technology, from industry as well as the academic and research communities. We will hear from responders and other groups in the wider response network about challenges faced and solutions to problems encountered, locally, regionally and on a global basis.
If you are interested to join the meeting and your organisation shares a non-commercial interest in improving technical aspects of spill response, then it’s not too late to register. Please contact dorotabortel@oilspillresponse.com or andynicoll@oilspillresponse.com for more information and to register your interest.
