Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) is pleased to sign a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Norwegian Clean Seas Association for Operating Companies (NOFO), an oil recovery organisation delivering services to members operating on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
The new MoU signed on 29 November 2016, was an enhancement to the previous 2009 MoU in that latest assets were included for mutual access to benefit member companies, giving rise to a more robust level of preparedness. One such example was OSRL’s Boeing 727 aircraft and its aerial dispersant spraying system, Tersus.
OSRL looks forward to enhancing the oil spill preparedness and response capabilities with NOFO, and explore the best ways to optimise coordination to deliver the most efficient and effective response on Norwegian Continental Shelf.
