NEW On-Scene Commander (Australia) e-learning course

segunda-feira, 1 de fevereiro de 2016

Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) has launched a NEW e-learning course; On-Scene Commander (Australia), designed specifically for Australian oil and gas operators. Based on the structure and principles of the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) 1 On-Scene Commander (OIM Offshore Installation Manager) e-learning course, this online course gives the user a relevant and unique learning experience incorporating the latest regulatory requirements for the region and industry good practice guidelines.

This launch adds to the suite of e-learning courses offered by OSRL which include; IMS-100, IMS-200, the aforementioned Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) 1 On-Scene Commander (OIM Offshore Installation Manager) and Subsea Well Intervention Services (SWIS). Like all of OSRL’s e-learning courses, the On-Scene Commander (Australia) course is designed with the user in mind. It offer delegates total flexibility to undertake training at the learner’s own pace, location and convenience, offering a cost-effective and convenient alternative to offsite classes. The aim of the course is to outline the actions and considerations that Offshore Installation Managers (OIMs), and other offshore personnel responsible for assessing oil spills and their consequences, operating in Australia need to undertake within the initial stages of response, including the activating contingency plans and reporting pollution incidents to authorities.

The On-Scene Commander (Australia) e-learning course is incorporated within OSRL’s own web based learning management system.  The new courses integrate with a user’s network for simple access and administration and can be viewed on a range of devices including PCs, MACs and iPads. A demo of the course can be viewed in the Technical Library section.

To find out more about this course and how it can benefit you, OSRL are hosting a FREE webinar on Friday 5th February which will showcase the NEW course and its content, as well as detailing the benefits of e-learning and in particular, OSRL's approach to learning.
