Dispersant Stockpiles - Access to dispersant globally

Immediate access to large volumes of regionally located dispersant is a vital contingency for operators undertaking exploration and production activities. Volumes are distributed globally; within OSRL, other OSROS, national stockpiles, or privately owned by the oil industry. 

Our Service Level Agreement (SLA) dispersant is available to all Members. Also available is the Global Dispersant Inventory (GDI), which is a list of known globally owned dispersant. These stockpiles are listed and offer a potential resource if all other stockpile options are exhausted. 

Through additional supplementary agreements, the Global Dispersant Stockpile (GDS) and UK Dispersant Stockpile (UKDS) dispersant stockpiles are available to Members.

SLA Dispersant Stockpiles

SLA dispersant stockpiles are readily accessible, easily mobilised, regionally located and available for OSRL Members. The dispersants chosen are those with the widest worldwide approvals. All Members have access to 100% (by volume) of these stockpiles, regardless of location.

 

 

 

Global Dispersant Inventory

Providing Potential Access to Globally Owned Dispersants

This facility provides a global view of known dispersant stockpiles to assist the industry in the event of a large dispersant demand.​​

The program contains Stockpile Manager contact details and has controlled security via the OSRL website with editing conducted under a QC procedure.

Advanced stockpile and contact details for OSRL Members and participating parties may be requested from the OSRL Duty Manager.
