If your role requires you to work within emergency management, response or planning, this course will give you the additional knowledge to prepare you to assume a supervisory role within an Incident Management System (IMS) framework.
This course will expand on the basics from your IMS 100 course, giving you an understanding of the leadership and management of the system by objectives.
At the end of this course, you will be aware of the functional areas and staffing positions within IMS, be introduced to the concept of briefings, and span of control, and be able to assume supervisory roles within an incident management team for simple incidents, whilst understanding the transfer of command.
