The Oiled Wildlife Assessment Service from GOWRS goes live! Introducing a new wildlife service for OSRL Members

An MoU signing between OSRL and the Global Oiled Wildlife Response Service (GOWRS) Network at Interspill 2022 paved the way for the Oiled Wildlife Assessment Service to go live on a 'best endeavours' basis in July. This article provides an overview of what that means for our Members in practice

Southampton, UK, 28th July 2022: Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) is pleased to announce that it has signed a strategic alliance agreement with TechnipFMC. The collaboration between OSRL and TechnipFMC has been strategically implemented to enhance further the capabilities of the Global Subsea Response Network’s (GSRN) services provided through OSRL’s Subsea Well Intervention Services (SWIS). TechnipFMC is a leading technology provider to the traditional and new energy industries, delivering fully integrated projects, products, and services.

OSRL is today conducting a No Notice Drill at our Southampton base to train our response teams and develop our operational capabilities. 

Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) and France’s Centre for Documentation, Research and Experimentation on Accidental Water Pollution (CEDRE) have today committed to renewing their ‘Letter of Understanding’ (LOU) to strengthen bilateral collaboration at Interspill 2022.

On the 21st of June, Interspill 2022 will open its doors to the industry for the next event in the triennial series of international oil spill clean-up events. 

Once again, we will collaborate with our partners IPIECA, IOGP, Sea Alarm Foundation, and the Global Response Network to showcase industry collaboration on a shared platform (stand B40) at Interspill 2022.

Following the signing of an agreement with Marine Environmental Solutions Limited (MES), an offshore services specialist, OSRL is pleased to announce that the UKCS Fishing Vessel Service went live on 4th April. 

Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) is pleased to announce that in 2022, the Global Oiled Wildlife Response Service (GOWRS) will become part of OSRL's Service Level Agreement (SLA). GOWRS is a ready‐to‐deploy Assessment Team of four wildlife response experts, drawn from 10 leading international wildlife response organisations, which will be available 24/7/365 to deploy for a four‐day in‐country incident assessment.
