Oil Spill Response Exercise This Week in the English Channel

This week Oil Spill Response is performing a live on-the-water exercise this week (22nd to 25th June) to train our response teams and develop our operational capabilities. The exercise will involve simulating an oil spill incident to test response equipment and instruct personnel on best-practice procedures. It will take place southwest of the Isle of Wight and along the Solent and involve a number of specialist vessels out on the water, as well as the Boeing 727 aircraft adapted with internal tanks, pumps, and spray booms flying alongside a dedicated surveillance aircraft.
Oil Trader, UNIPEC, Joins Oil Spill Response as Associate Shipping Member

Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) announced today that leading energy trader, UNIPEC, has joined its growing roster of Associate Shipping members. Commencing the 10th of February, its membership provides UNIPEC with access to a range of response and preparedness services to support its global shipping activities.
X-Press Pearl - OSRL Mobilisation

OSRL can confirm that it has been mobilised to Sri Lanka in response to the incident relating to the container ship, the X-Press Pearl. The vessel is currently 10km offshore, approximately 12 km north of the capital city, Colombo.
Aviation Update C-130 Hercules

The Lockheed C-130 Hercules aircraft chartered by OSRL to provide regional wide area aerial dispersant application undergoes regular scheduled maintenance in accordance with regulatory requirements.
The current OSRL Lockheed C130 aircraft (N121TG) based in Senai is now due its C-Check maintenance. The aircraft has therefore been changed out and replaced with an identical Lockheed C-130 with registration number N117TG.
Therefore, from now on the Lockheed C-130 registration N117TG will be OSRL's primary aircraft based in Senai, Malaysia providing wide aerial dispersant application service for our members in Asia-Pacific.

OSRL Ghana Limited supports development of an Early Childhood Education Centre in Ghana

OSRL Ghana Limited (OSRLGL) is pleased to announce it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sabre Education as part of its ongoing commitment to investing in communities in Ghana.
The MOU includes the procurement of furniture for five classrooms in the Early Childhood Education Centre and the construction of two outside teaching areas.
