Oil Spill Response Limited Welcomes Experienced Oil and Gas Executive, Vania De Stefani, as New CEO Starting 1st April

Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) has appointed Vania De Stefani as its new CEO, effective from 1st April. With over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Vania has a strong background in engineering, operations, and process safety. She has led operational crises in various regions and played a key role in the response to the Deepwater Horizon incident in the Gulf of Mexico. Vania holds a Master's degree in Process Engineering and a PhD in Thermophysics, making her an excellent fit for OSRL. The organisation is a leading provider of oil spill response services, and Vania's appointment comes at an exciting time as the company looks to expand its services and meet the growing demand for oil spill response and preparedness.

Oil Spill Response Limited officially opens its new base in Bahrain

Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL), the global oil spill response cooperative, is pleased to announce the relocation of its base in Bahrain and the official opening of its new facilities.

The opening of the new facility took place on 11th October 2022, under the patronage of H.E Dr Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and included a ribbon-cutting ceremony with OSRL's Chief Executive Robert Limb.

Oil Spill Response and the Maritime Coastguard Agency Exercise This Week in the English Channel

Counter pollution partners will have a vital opportunity to train response teams and develop operational capabilities this week (27-30 September), with a multi-agency oil spill exercise.

The live on-the-water exercise involves simulating an oil spill incident to test response equipment and instruct personnel on best-practice procedures. It will mark the first time the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) and Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) have collaborated on this type of activity, alongside aviation operators 2Excel and RVL.
